Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes
25-year-old Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson, better known by her stage name Lykke Li, is a Swedish indie singer, who blends elements of pop, electronic, and indie rock.
After her first album "Youth Novels" and several covers - such as Kings of Leon's "Knocked up" - Lykke Li's final breakthrough came with her second album "Wounded Rhymes", which was released earlier this year in late February / early March.
The album's second single "I Follow Rivers" is still my favourite song and I could listen to it over and over again. The music video was shot by Egyptian-Swedish TV producer and film director Tarik Saleh, who in the early 90s was one of Sweden's most prominent graffiti artists.
"Wounded Rhymes" was lauded by music critics and it continues to rank top in Europe's and the U.S. album charts. I'm sure there will be more to come...
